Testimonials
"Patti inspired me to get straight A's for the first time in my life. She is very patient and organized during tutoring."
Holly H. (college junior)
" Patti not only brought me from a B to an A
student in writing, but she gave me so much confidence in my writing ability. "
Jeff L. (high school senior)
My son and I met Patti when my son was in 8th grade. As a child diagnosed with ADHD, he struggled with organization, motivation, and time management skills. Patti was an excellent coach who taught my son how to manage his time effectively and break assignments into smaller doable chunks. These skills carried through to high school, and he depended on what Patti had taught him to get him through his four years.
Preparing for the ACT/SAT can be an extremely overwhelming process for a neurodiverse teen, and the college admissions process can be equally as intense for parents and their kids. We chose Patti and Paul due to the excellent rapport Patti had established with my son. Many college consultants only help with one portion of the ACT – either a math/science focus or English. However, Patti and Paul were able to provide coverage for the entire test preparation, which made it an easier and more efficient process. My son never complained about meeting with Patti or Paul because he genuinely liked being around them.
My husband and I credit both Patti and Paul for getting our son successfully through high school and into a college that we believe is the perfect fit for him. Patti’s knowledge, expertise, and unfailing support were beyond measure."

"Having Patti and Paul work with my son saved my sanity and preserved our relationship. Equipped with what he learned from them, he has sailed through his junior and senior year, and he also still talks to me!"

“ 'It takes a village to raise a child' ~ Profound proverb that conveys such a strong and important message. Education is a strong core family value we hold, and we are celebrating the success of high school graduation and preparation for the next phase of our children’s journey off to college. We celebrate this times 3 ~ we have TRIPLETS! These amazing, kind, smart and loving young adults have had the opportunity to thrive and build their education through the support of many….Our “village” of family, friends, and loved ones include some very important people who were also instrumental through this journey. Meet Patti and Paul!
As we were considering and researching educational consulting options, we were beyond fortunate to have found Patti and Paul. Having 3 children it was even more important to identify individual skills and educational needs to allow them to achieve their full potential. Countless times did we all (kids included) say we could never have done this and achieved the grades and college admissions we did without Patti and Paul!!!! Their extensive educational expertise, individual approach, focus and commitment to each of us was incredible.
By no means was this an easy journey for any of us. Days, nights, weekends of studying, preparing, driving back and forth through the middle school and high school years and add to it a pandemic. It’s an investment…and one of the best investments we ever made!
The best part of sharing our testimonial is this……as we put together our graduation party invitation list Patti and Paul were at the top of the list of family and friends we wanted to thank and share in our celebration!"

Patti supported our daughter for the last three years. She taught her time management, executive functioning, and study habits. Patti always followed up with an email after each tutoring session and worked well with her school. Both Patti and her husband Paul tutored my daughter for the ACT as well. We were very happy with our daughter's scores. Patti not only supported our daughter but us as well in helping to understand her deficits. Patti was a vital part of our daughter's success! Thanks Patti!

Testimonials
"Patti worked hard to help me find techniques and methods I was comfortable using on the ACT English and reading sections. As a result, my English score saw a four(4) point increase, and my reading section saw a ten(10) point increase! In addition, Paul helped me increase my math score four(4) points, and my science score four(4) points as well. Both Patti and Paul worked extensively to help me feel prepared and comfortable while taking my last ACT. I was very pleased with the results!"
Christopher H. (Rising High School Senior)
"Patti was the gateway to my success with my ACT. Every sheet she gave me to help me learn was filled with beneficial knowledge, which led to my end result and score. I could not have done it without Patti's motivation and stylistic techniques to learn, practice, and achieve on the ACT. Every time I walked into a session with Patti, I knew how much progress I was making, and at the end of 60 minutes, I walked out with an optimistic feeling of security and new knowledge. Patti is inspirational and makes one strive to learn. Her passion and teachings bring out the success and potential in others."

"My name is Sam M., and I am a current senior in high school. The seemingly impossible task of navigating ACT/SAT prep, college applications, and general school work became quickly doable with the guidance of Patti Schabinger, President and Founder of College Comprehensive Consulting. Patti and her husband, Dr. Paul Schabinger, use a multitude of different practice tests along with detailed study schedules and worksheets to prepare each student for success on the standardized tests. They quickly learned my strengths and weaknesses and adapted their tutoring plan accordingly, which felt extremely personal and helped my scores improve immensely overall.
Looking back at the general college application process, I truly could not have worked through it without Patti’s help. In the summer going into senior year, she made sure I had my main personal essay completed in order to relieve my stress once the school year began. Her knowledge of specific writing techniques sought out by colleges and creative ideas helped me craft a one-of-a-kind essay. Similar to the test preparation, Patti geared her work towards my personal wants and needs when hand-selecting colleges to apply to. For example, she introduced the idea of Boston University to me early on because she knew I wanted an urban, medium-sized campus with an upbeat atmosphere. Through further research, BU quickly became my number one choice.
For months, Patti helped me perfect my application to the competitive university, walking me through the supplemental essay and showing me the importance of demonstrated interest. Reading the words “Congratulations” on my Boston University acceptance letter, was one of my proudest moments. I truly could not have achieved this dream without Patti’s guidance, services, and advice. I am so beyond grateful and appreciative of all her time and effort. Patti’s dedication to my success was incredible and our hard work truly paid off. Thank you again, Patti, and good luck to all future college applicants!"
Sam M. (High School Senior)
I highly recommend Patti, and I recommend securing her services early, as she is in high demand. Do not wait until the summer after your child’s junior year because it will be too late. A friend recommended Patti, and we are so grateful! Patti made the entire college application process so much less stressful than it could have been. My daughter entered her senior year well prepared for submitting her college applications. Patti worked with my daughter, strengthening her ACT skills, selecting colleges, and writing application essays. Working weekly on the Common Application essay and several additional essays, Patti helped my daughter condense and highlight her achievements, athleticism, and volunteering into beautiful essays, allowing her to stand out among other college applicants. My daughter was accepted to 12 colleges, and all but one offered her merit scholarships. One university was considered a dream college. Patti made a college recommendation that my daughter would have not considered on her own. She ended up choosing to attend this school because of its beautiful location, academics, and because the college is so welcoming and personal. My daughter is a swimmer and the swim coach contacted her soon after her acceptance. When she notified the coach, informing him of her decision, his response was, “Fantastic news! I will do everything in my power to make sure you never regret the decision. We have a great group of young ladies and you will only add to the strength of our team. I am already getting excited for next year!” The college offered her a scholarship and a few weeks later, offered her a second scholarship. We have Patti to thank for this wonderful recommendation that could have slipped by if we had not used her services. Patti is incredibly knowledgeable, alleviating the stress of the college application process. I highly recommend Patti!

Testimonials
"Patti, simply put, is a breath of fresh air. She is amazing and extremely talented at what she does. She takes a very stressful and complicated college application process and makes it easy and enjoyable. She was able to help our son hone in on what he needed to express during the essay writing process. With Patti's expertise and guidance, my son was able to apply Early Action to all 11 schools and has had 100% acceptance! "

"We had an EXCELLENT experience with College Comprehensive Consulting LLC. Patti Schabinger is the owner/consultant. She was previously recommended by Glen residents (in Glenview, Ilinois) in this email group. She can assist in any area of college preparation.
The working sessions are highly focused with specific tasks and identifiable outcomes, yet my son also found them enjoyable. Patti can customize your child's program, if needed. For instance, my son and I had already spent a great deal of time identifying prospective colleges using Naviance, high school college counselors, and other resources. So, Patti focused her efforts on all the other aspects of college preparations, particularly the application process, scholarships, and essays.
She is extremely knowledgeable about what is important to each college, and she guided our son to write essays that would hit the appropriate hot buttons for each.
As her work with our son progressed, the more I recognized how little I knew and how valuable she was. For instance, I hadn't even planned to apply for scholarships as our son was a decent but not exceptional student (basically a B average with a few D's sprinkled in over his years in high school), and we would not qualify for financial-based grants. She and my son dug into this, however, and he ended up with generous scholarship offers from each of his admitted schools.
Our son applied to 7 colleges and was rejected by only one, and it was a stretch college. He was accepted to the other stretch college he applied to. Patti kept us in the loop throughout. She communicates with parents constantly. I recommend her without reservation."

"Patti Schabinger is an absolute professional! My son was at a complete loss as far as where to even begin his college hunt. Patti was able to connect with him and steer him in the right direction. After just one session, he had narrowed down his college choices substantially. Patti was also instrumental in helping my son determine his professional path. Through questionnaires, discussions, etc. Patti was able to help my son discover his passion for business and finance.
Patti and Paul prepared my son for ACT/SAT testing and were able to improve his test scores markedly compared to his first exam. Finally, Patti was able to brainstorm with my son and came up with an outstanding topic for his Common Application essay. He did not have any idea how to even begin this process. His final essay was fantastic and really brought out his passions, strengths, and ambitions.
Patti and Paul were the number one contributing factor to my son's college search and application process success. He was accepted to all three schools to which he applied and also received scholarships. He has accepted his offer to the Indiana University Kelley School of Business as a direct admit and has received a substantial four year scholarship. I highly recommend Patti to all high school students as this college application process can be daunting. Thank you so much Patti and Paul!"

"Ms. Schabinger and I worked together for a year on the college application process, and she became an irreplaceable resource and shoulder to lean on throughout. With no preference as to the type of school I wished to attend, Ms. Schabinger was instrumental in crafting my college list and researching schools. Once we had settled on a set of schools, we reviewed every single essay that I had written and went over it in detail during our sessions together. She provided valuable insight as to what each school was looking for in an applicant, and how to present myself in the best light for each school. After I had submitted my applications, she also assisted in the interview process with mock sessions and school-specific questions, which made me confident as I entered each interview. I had great success in the application process and will be attending Yale University in the fall. I couldn’t have done it without her!"
Matthew J. (High School Senior)
“When I first met Patti I had been having a hard time starting my college process. She was able to help motivate and guide me towards acceptances at some great schools. Patti is great to talk to and helps polish your writings while being non judgmental of subject matter. Personally, I’m actually going to miss working with Patti, as I genuinely enjoyed a lot of the process.”
Jack D. (High School Senior)
Patti directed me toward a university I had no idea existed. I appreciate your guidance leading me to the university I attended. It was a great choice, more than I had imagined. Little did I know, this school was the key toward birthing my beginnings of an incredible career. From her aid in writing admissions essays to gentle words of encouragement, thank you again, Patti.
